Empties and Eco Alternatives

Hiya Guys!

I recently put a poll on my Instagram as to whether anyone would be interested in seeing products that I have recently used up and hearing my thoughts about how I felt about these products as well if I could find a more eco friendly alternative. I received quite a lot of interest in this idea, especially from people wanting to see the eco friendly alternatives - so here we are!

Wipes

Wipes are something I have always had in our house and I have always used for as long as I can remember, baby wipes especially as I just found that they were more sensitive and calming to my skin.

I used wipes for so many different things and when I think of these reasons now, I know it was just super lazy. I would use these after my micellar water to ensure all my make up was removed, I would use them to clean product off my hands after doing my make up or just to wipe my face if I wanted to feel a bit more refreshed when wearing make up! However I am so aware of how awful wipes are for the environment therefore we are removing wipes from our household completely and once we have used up the last packet we will no longer be re-purchasing them.

Eco Alternative

The eco alternative of wipes is very simple for me - if I need to get any product off my hands after doing my make up, I need to stop relying on the convenience of wipes and wash them with soap and water!

As well as using them to wipe my face of remove make up, it's quite simple - use face cleansing products and water. Lush do many different naked skincare products, one being the 7-3 Cleansing Wipe which is essentially a packaging free wipe that is activated with water and can be used multiple times to remove make up!

Shower Gel and Shower Cream

For as long as I can remember both myself and Alex have religiously used Lush Shower Gel and Cream. Lush is an incredible company that I have been a fan of for many years and I will always choose their products when it comes to skincare, bathing and hair care.

This is due to their ethos' and values, whether this is in relation to recycling, being cruelty free and so many more amazing causes that Lush support. Therefore this isn't something I will never use again. At one point we did have one too many Shower Gels and Creams as I became quite obsessive and collective with Lush however we are slowly working through these are reducing our collection.

There are a couple of scents by Lush that we absolutely love such as Calacas which isn't part of their permanent range and doesn't have a solid/naked version at the moment, so we have a couple of bottles of this stocked up as it's our favourite and will probably buy this again should it be re-released! However as these bottles can be fully recycled I am happy to continue to purchase this item.

Eco Alternative

Although I will be keeping a couple of my Shower Gels such as Calacas as mentioned above, I will not be purchasing multiple bottles at once like I have done in the past. We will be moving on to using soap - Lush have such a great range of packaging free soap. In store you can choose how big of a chunk you'd like and they will cut it to size for you.

This alternative is another one which is going back to basics, it seems super simple but if you think about the amount of plastic waste which is created from shower gel alone - it is absolutely insane!

Bloo Foam Aroma

In all honesty this product was the most useless thing I've ever bought, I have to admit that I got sucked into the cleaning hype like quite a lot of other people and bought everything and anything that Mrs Hinch recommended even though I didn't need it. I still enjoy watching Mrs Hinch's stories and keeping up with her on Instagram however I can't come to terms with the stock piling of products and chemicals - most of which are tested on animals.

Eco Alternative

I have seen quite a few different recipes to make your own fizzing toilet blocks or powders which I will be trialing and testing soon. Anything I can make at home is a big win for me! As soon as I have made these and tested them out I will put the recipe and what I thought about it on my Instagram.

Body Scrub

I have quite a few different Body Scrubs on the go at the moment including Lush, The Body Shop and Happy Place Cosmetics. These two Body Scrubs are from The Body Shop - one of which I received as part of a gift set for my birthday and another I bought in the Christmas sale.

The Body Shop are another company that have really good morals and values and are completely cruelty free. They have also recently released their recycling programme, where they will take back all your empty pots and ensure that they are recycled correctly. Therefore this product isn't something I would never re-purchase again in the future - however I would ensure that it is from a company such as Lush or The Body Shop.

Eco Alternative

When it comes to cosmetics you will notice that Lush is a company I mention a lot throughout this post and this is due to my personal experience with their products throughout the years - there may well be many more companies that sell naked products and if you know of any that you love, please let me know!

Packaging free Body Scrubs are something that I have been using for a while from Lush, my favourite being Scrubee. Scrubee is a packaging free Solid Body Butter from Lush and is filled with ground coconut shells and ground almonds therefore it doubles as a scrub and body butter in one and leaves you feeling super soft and moisturised after use! Another naked scrub I have recently purchased from Lush is Aurora Borealis which I am really looking forward to trying out!

Concentrated Disinfectant

As previously mentioned I was very quickly sucked into this whole 'cleaning' hype, as we moved into our first home in October 2018 and this was when I discovered Mrs Hinch. At this point I was introduced to Zoflora and it's many uses, now this is something I do continue to use however I no longer buy lots of different scents when I see them and just have a few bottles left. This is also the same case for Fabulosa.

I do really enjoy using these products to clean and they are cruelty free which is a massive factor for me. I use them diluted in a spray bottle as an all purpose cleaner to clean the kitchen surfaces and other non-wood surfaces throughout the house. I also use them to clean the bathroom - I fill the bath/sink up with hot water and add a splash of the concentrate disinfectant to clean the bath/sink all the surfaces around and the taps etc.

Eco Alternative

In comparison to the multiple different products I previously used to clean the kitchen and bathroom, I do believe that by only having one bottle of Zoflora which I use diluted is creating a lot less waste than before.

The product is cruelty free and the bottle is easily recyclable therefore the only downside would be if you are looking to go plastic free. Going forward I would like to try make my own cleaners and disinfectants, therefore if you have any recipes, please do let me know! However at the moment I will continue to use up my concentrate disinfectants, by diluting them and using them for many different purposes.

Micellar Water

I absolutely love using Micellar Water to remove my make up, it's so quick and easy and is really convenient to use. Realistically I will continue to buy this, although it does come in a plastic bottle, simply because I have yet to find a Micellar Water/Make Up Remover in glass packaging.

Eco Alternative

A way I've started to reduce how much I use is by using the 7-3 Wipes by Lush which I have previously mentioned to remove the majority of my make up as well as other products from their naked skincare range, then if I need to use the Micellar Water just to ensure my face is completely clear of make up and dirt - I will only use a small amount of my reusable cotton pads. I have cut the single use cotton pads out of my life completely therefore by using reusable cotton pads this reduces a lot of the waste that was produced from me removing my make up.

By only using the Micellar Water to ensure the make up is completely removed, rather than it being used to remove all my make up, the product will last a lot longer meaning I don't have to purchase as many bottles of this product.

I hope you guys enjoyed the read and if so please let me know and I will do another in the future! It's really good to collect your empties throughout the month and then have a look through and realistically think whether you would use it again and whether it's worth re-purchasing. Or if you can find a more eco friendly/plastic free alternative!

Eco Living

Hiya Guys!

One of mine and Alex's New Year Resolutions this year was to become more Eco Friendly. If you follow me on Instagram you may know that unlike most resolutions this is one that we have really stuck to and are trying to do more and more as time goes by.

I wanted to share my experience with Eco Living and tell you what we currently do to make a difference and what we are planning on doing going forward.

I saw a great quote the other day that I think is so incredibly important - 'We don't need a handful of people doing zero waste perfectly. We need millions of people doing it imperfectly.'

A small change is better than no change at all, whether this is as simple as using metal or bamboo reusable straws and buying bamboo toothbrushes rather than plastic. People should not be shamed for only making a few small changes rather than living 100% zero waste. They should be congratulated on the small changes they have made and encouraged to make any further changes that they can.

I am going to share a few changes that we have in our House on our journey towards a more Eco Friendly lifestyle.

Metal Straws and Chopsticks

It starts with the simple things, these metal straws and chopsticks were the first things that we purchased. There is a big push in the media at the moment to get rid of plastic straws, which is really good to see a big audience getting on board with! There are many more things we can all be doing to make a difference, however this is a great place to start and are super inexpensive to pick up on eBay.

Bamboo Toothbrushes

Another simple place to start is with a Bamboo Toothbrush. I recently read that Plastic Toothbrushes take over 400 years to decompose, we switched to Bamboo over 6 weeks ago and I can't believe we didn't do it sooner. It is so incredibly simple, again very inexpensive and doesn't feel any different to using a Plastic Toothbrush - so there is no reason not to make the change!

Recycled Candles

Recycling Candles and Wax is something that we have been doing for around 2 months now, as an avid user of both Candles and Wax Melts I couldn't help but notice how much waste it created. I've noticed with multiple candle brands that when the candle has finished burning and the wick will no longer light, there is still so much wax left over that would simply be wasted. This is the same with wax melts, once the scent has finished you're left with wax that is simply put in the waste.

Which is why we have started melting this left over wax down and making our own candles and tea lights. We have been re-using glass jars and empty tea light cases that we have kept over the weeks and pouring the melted wax into these - the wicks are cheap enough to buy online. I will be filming a YouTube video on this process soon, so you can follow along and make your own!

Reusable Cotton Pads

Reusable Cotton Pads are quite a new change for me, I picked these up from a shop on Etsy called Leave No Trace. You use them as you would regular cotton pads with your micellar water or toner and then simply pop them into your cute little bag that is included and put them in the washing machine and they can be used over and over!

Eco Egg

I wish I would have known about this product sooner, the Eco Egg is an eco friendly alternative to laundry detergent and fabric conditioner. Simply stick it in the drum with your washing and let it work it's magic! This little egg lasts up to 1 year and when required, you just replace the pellets - the egg will last a lifetime. It is amazing to think how many plastic bottles we can avoid using by switching to the Eco Egg.

Lush Naked Products

If you know me you will know how much I love Lush and how long I've been using their products. More recently they have been creating more and more naked products (packaging free) - from Solid Lip Scrubs and Body Scrubs to Naked Face Wipes and Facial Cleansers. I would really recommend checking out what naked products Lush sell and seeing if they would work in your routine. Even the smallest change from using Shower Gel and Liquid Hand Wash to Soap makes a difference!

Cotton Produce Bags

Something we've always done is not use the awful single use plastic bags in supermarkets. Why they are still in shops is beyond me, you don't need to put your bananas in a plastic bag which is going to go straight in the bin when you get home. Cotton Produce Bags and so cheap to pick up and do the exact same thing if not better! I bought these from Poundland for £1 and Poundstretcher for 50p.

Teal Trunk

Finally we have the Teal Trunk which I was kindly gifted by the lovely owner Tara, I was looking for an eco alternative to washing up sponges and came across this unique product, I'd never seen anything on the market like this before! It's a silicone scrubber which can be re-used over and over and due to the material it is made from doesn't hold on to any bacteria. I have seen so many people on my Instagram use this for so many things, from cleaning make up brushes, scrubbing their veg, cleaning the sink and so much more. I haven't tried this yet as I still have a couple of sponges left from the last multi pack we bought, but as soon as I do I will post my thoughts on my Instagram.

Following on from that is something I want to mention when it comes to Eco Living, finding an eco alternative is amazing however it shouldn't mean that you throw away your none eco product which still has plenty of life in it. Use your sponges and one use cotton pads up that you may already have, then once they're used you can go on to your new exciting product. Do not create waste for the sake of something new.

I am always interested in new ways to become more Eco Friendly, should anyone have any suggestions of things they currently do please let me know! We have today found a Zero Waste shop in our local town that allows you to refill your dry foods such as pasta and rice etc as well as cleaning products and things such as Shampoo and Conditioner. This is such an amazing thing to come to our small town and we can't wait to start using it!

I hope you enjoyed the read and can take something from this blog, the more people that make any changes the bigger difference we can all make to looking after our planet.

Lush Valentine's Day Haul and Review

Hiya Guys!

With Valentine's Day just around the corner I thought a Lush Valentine's Day Haul and Review would be an ideal blog post to kick off 2017. Hopefully it will be helpful to those who are looking to treat their other halves or themselves this Valentine's Day. There are demo's and pictures in action of most of these products over on my Instagram so I would suggest following me to ensure you can check these out.

Like all special occasions such as Christmas, Easter and Halloween etc - Lush have released their Valentine's Day collection this year ready for February 14th. Some of the products which were in the 2016 collection have made a re-appearance and there are some lovely new products which have also been added.

Unicorn Horn - Bubble Bar

Let's kick things off with one of my favourite V Day products (which I bought way too many of last year) and that is Unicorn Horn Bubble Bar. Apart from being one of the prettiest Bubble Bar's EVER it smells unreal. If you are a fan of lavender and lavender scented products then this is for you. One of the main ingredients is Lavender Oil along with Ylang Ylang and Neroli Oil's which make this product perfect for those needed relaxing baths.

A little explanation for those who aren't sure how Bubble Bar's work, either snap off a chunk and crumble this under running water or add it to a tea strainer or sieve and run under the tap. I have found the tea strainer/sieve way works the best for me as it creates the fluffiest and most bubbles in the bath, I have a few videos on my Instagram if you would like to see how I do this.

Rose Bombshell - Bath Bomb

Rose Bombshell is another product which I tried last year when the Valentine's Day collection came out and I am sure you can tell from the name what the scent may be. This is the reason why I only picked up one of these Bath Bomb's - I aren't the biggest fan of all things floral and rose scented but that isn't to say this isn't a lovely Bath Bomb. It would make a lovely gift to a Partner or Mother as real rose petals make a lovely appearance once the Bath Bomb has fizzed away. If you do some creeping and scroll back to 2016 on my IG you will find demo's and pictures of this bath bomb.

Prince Charming Shower Cream & The Kiss Lip Scrub

For the lovers of all things sweet you need to smell Prince Charming Shower Cream. The main ingredients of this Shower Cream are Marshmallow Root and Vanilla Pod so you can imagine how dreamy the scent is. And the fact that it's a Shower Cream rather than a Shower Gel leaves your skin feeling silky smooth. This is a product well raved about in the Lush community. I only picked up a 100g bottle as I couldn't justify much more since I have 1600g of Snow Fairy!

The Kiss. I have recently become obsessed with Lip Scrubs, I would only ever use Bubblegum Lip Scrub but since Christmas I decided to venture out and try new flavours and scents and The Kiss is probably one of my favourites. I'm a big fan of the sweet scents and flavours and this just hits the nail on the head, it has become part of my daily routine to use a Lush Lip Scrub especially in this cold weather as it gives your lips the care they need.

Cupid Bath Bomb

This is probably my favourite product from this years Valentine's Day collection. I am SOOO in love, I picked up four earlier on this month and will most likely end up getting a few more whilst I can. The blend of Fresh Raspberry Juice and Persian Lime Oil really gives this product one of the loveliest scents. It's quite a slow fizzer in the tub, once placed in the water the arrow part of the Bath Bomb fizzes away leaving a lovely streak of deep pink foam in the water whilst the main body stayed in my water for about 15 minutes! I used this last night paired with Unicorn Horn and The Comforter Bubble Bars and Prince Charming Shower Cream and it made the best combo ever! A demo of Cupid is live on my IG.

Kiss Me Quick - Business Wash Cards

I can't review these as much as I haven't actually used them as of yet but I can tell you what I think of the product so far and what I have also heard of the product. I think the Business Wash Cards are a seriously clever idea and something I've never even seen or thought of before. It is basically a Business Card size soap, which is made from Fresh Apple Pulp! This is a great idea to carry in your purse/wallet for those times when there aren't any hand washing facilities - all you do is tear a piece off and run it under the water where it will start to lather and create a soap. Or it can be used whole in the shower or as a general hand wash. I love this idea and decided to pick a couple up for myself to try out.

Lover Lamp Bath Bomb

Lover Lamp is one of the more subtle Bath Bomb's that Lush do but nevertheless it is still an amazing product. This one is especially great for those who tend to have more dry skin and are looking for a super moisturising bath that will keep their skin feeling hydrated. This is due to the fact the Bath Bomb releases three love heart shaped Bath Melt's whilst it is fizzing away, these are made from Fair Trade Organic Cocoa Butter which you can probably tell is the reason your skin is left feeling amazing. Oh and it also smells like chocolate orange - that may be a reason to buy this!

Ladybird Bubble Bar

I love these little guys! I picked one up last year and soon realised how much of an essential they are to any Lush lovers collection. Pairing this with Intergalactic Bath Bomb makes for the freshest, minty-est (is that a word?) and refreshing bath you can imagine. It also leaves the bath water looking like a galaxy! It's more than likely I will be popping back into store to grab some more of these as two certainly won't be enough. I would highly recommend getting these if you love Intergalactic.

Over and Over Bath Bomb

And last but certainly not least is Over and Over Bath Bomb, but this isn't any regular Bath Bomb the orange part of this product is actually a Bath Melt - it has been dipped and coated in Fair Trade Organic Cocoa Butter which again leaves for incredible feeling skin. I love this concept as it's two in one! This Bath Bomb has a very vibrant and fruity scent which is due to the Lime Oil in this product, it's a real uplifting and cleansing ingredient which leaves you feeling super refreshed.

Well that's it for now! I am going to be doing AT LEAST one blog post per month for 2017 so if you have any suggestions as to what you would like to see please let me know. I hope you enjoyed the read and it was useful for those who are looking into this collection from Lush. Lush Arndale Beauty School Event

Hiya Guys!

A couple of weeks ago I received an invitation to the Lush Arndale Beauty School Event for Bloggers, I applied a while back thinking I wouldn't hear anything but thought I would give it a try. I was chuffed when I received the invite as I'm sure you can tell if you follow me on Twitter or Instagram that I am a massive Lush fan and have been for years!

When we arrived at the Lush Arndale store we was advised by the lovely Colin that there were three different groups where we would be doing three different activities throughout the evening.

Henna Hair Dye Demo and Knot Wrap Tutorials

Our group started on the hair care section where there was a Henna Hair Dye demonstration going on, Henna is a natural alternative to the usual hair dye. To find out more information click here.

We also had a live tutorial on how to use the Lush Knot Wraps, we kindly received one of the Knot Wraps in our goodie bag and we was shown lots of different ways to use this from
styling your hair with Victory Rolls and adding a Knot Wrap rose to making a bag to store your Lush products in - which makes an amazing gift idea! I was so glad to be shown the Knot Wrap rose style with the Victory Curls as I am going to a wedding just before Christmas and was looking for a vintage hair style so I will be 100% be using this style.

Emotional Brilliance Live Tutorial

Once we had finished creating Knot Wraps styles and watching the Henna demo we went to the Emotional Brilliance section of the store where we were being shown a live tutorial using all Lush make up.

The look in which we were being shown was a flawless skin look where the make up artist concentrated on a flawless base and then added a copper colour to the eyes using the Eye Jewels. I have never seen anything like these before, they are essentially cream solid eyeshadows and come in the most gorgeous colours. Another product which caught my eye was the Feeling Younger Skin Tint - the MUA used this as a highlighter on the model and it was SO beautiful, as soon as I saw it I knew I had to have it! I purchased it once the event was over and can't wait to start using it. It's a liquid based product and can be used all over your face under your foundation for a dewy look or on top of your make up to create a gorgeous highlight!

Product Making

The final activity of the evening was product making and I was VERY excited about this. We all huddled into the Lush Arndale Green House with the lovely Alex who was talking us through the products which we would be making. He was very informative and I learnt a lot of information about how Lush source their ingredients such as their Fair Trade Cocoa Butter, the stories were really touching.

The first product which we were making was Butterbear Bath Bomb which I was really happy about as I love this product, only a week before the event I had bought two of these as I remember how lovely they were last year. They aren't anything super fancy and exciting but they're a soothing and relaxing Bath Bomb.

We did everything from adding the Fair Trade Cocoa Butter to mixing the product together to put into the little Butterbear moulds.

The next product we made was Cupcake Face Mask, I didn't expect to be making anything other than bath products so this was something very exciting. Alex talked us through everything from how the products benefit your skin to how to apply and store the product. Due to it being a very hands on session I didn't manage to get any pictures of this as we were all involved from the start, even ripping up the mint to add to the mask but I did manage to get a picture of these yummy Cupcake inspired Vegan cupcakes made by one of the staff members at Lush, Colin!

I thoroughly enjoyed my evening at Lush Arndale and am very thankful to all the lovely staff members there who made it a night I won't forget! There are lots more pictures and videos over on my Instagram which you can check out!

As always, I hope you enjoyed the read and speak soon!

Spring Lush Haul

Hiya Guys!

I'm back again with another Lush haul, this time it's a Spring Lush haul so it's a mixture of products from a few different collections. There are products from the Valentine's Day, Mother's Day and Easter Collections, now although I'm aware these are over there are still some products left in store and online as they are limited edition until stock sells out. But I also just thought I'd still upload this post as they may bring some of the products back to the Lush Kitchen and I thought it'd be useful to have the information on a certain product that you may be interested in.

I won't be leaving links to the products which were limited edition as I know that most of them aren't available online but like I say if you pop into store you maybe lucky and be able to pick some up. So I'm going to crack on!

Bunch Of Carrots - Reusable Bubble Bar

This adorable set of three reusable Bubble Bars are from the Easter collection this year. I love how Lush create different and clever ideas for the reusable Bubble Bars and it's no different with these. I'm probably going to use them individually and hold them under the running tap by the 'leaves'. Although I've recently started using a tea strainer for my regular Bubble Bars. I just snap a piece off whichever bar I'm using a pop it into the tea strainer and hold that under the water and it makes the bubbles so much more fluffier and you don't risk burning your fingers trying to crumble it under the running water!

This product has a really fresh and fruity scent which is perfect for Spring. The scent probably comes from two of the main ingredients 'Sicilian Lemon Oil' and 'Bergamont Oil' which are both 'Uplifting and Cleansing'.

Dragons Egg - Bath Bomb

Dragons Egg Bath Bomb is in the permanent collection at Lush and is one of the products that I always pick up when I'm in store as it's one of my all time favourites. The scent is just incredible, it honestly smells like sherbet that you could easily eat. Now although it doesn't look that exciting on the outside compared to other bombs such as The Experimenter for example you need to trust me on this one and pick one up.

Although it has the two of the same main ingredients as Bunch of Carrots ('Sicilian Lemon Oil' and 'Bergamont Oil') it's a lot different with regards to the scent. It smells so much sweeter and if you are into all things sweet scented this Bath Bomb is for you. It also has a lovely orangey/gold inside so when you pop it in the bath and the white outer layer fizzes away the amazing colour inside starts to come through and the little pieces of multi-coloured confetti start to show.

Floating Island - Bath Oil

I never really cared for trying Bath Oils before but when I found this in store I thought I'd give it a try and I'm so glad I did! They aren't the most exciting products ever, they don't create an exciting, colourful and fun bath but they really do make your skin feel incredible.

All you need to do is pop the whole thing in your bath and just let it melt away and do it's magic. It's a really creamy product hence the reason for leaving your skin feeling so lovely. The main ingredients are 'Sandalwood Oil', 'Fair Trade Vanilla Pod Seeds' and 'Organic Shea Butter' which explains the rich creamy scent. I would recommend this product if you suffer from dry and sensitive skin.

Fluffy Egg - Bath Bomb

Ok now this product from the Easter collection is EVERYTHING. If you can get to a Lush store and this is still available you need to get one (or 10). If you follow me on Instagram @amberjainee you will have seen my recent video and pictures of this Bath Bomb and you'll know how much I'm in love.

It's a Bath Bomb that smells like Snow Fairy...... What more could anyone want ?? And if you're unfortunate enough to not know what Snow Fairy smells like I feel sorry for you, when it's Christmas you need to go to Lush and smell it and I promise you won't be disappointed, it's my favourite Lush scent ever. As soon as you pop it in the bath it fizzes away very quickly and leaves your bath an amazing bright pink colour with the Snow Fairy scent lingering. I don't really have much to say on this other than if you can buy it, do!

Golden Egg - Bath Bomb Melt

I'm a little bit in two minds about this product don't get me wrong it looks cute and smells really good but the glitter is SOO annoying, one touch of this product and you will have glitter on you for a good 3 weeks....

But I think the scent tops that and I'll just have to deal with the glitter. In my opinion Golden Egg smells a lot like Honey I Washed The Kids and I love the Bath Bomb Melt's - it's such a lovely combination. The outer layers melts away which leaves your water silky smooth revealing with Bath Bomb to fizz away. If you don't mind the glitter I'd recommend this. The Lush website describes this product as 'Toffee-scented, molten gold and packed full of Fair Trade Colombian cocoa butter'.

Humpty Dumpty - Bath Bomb

This massive Bath Bomb is from the Easter range this year, which I'm sure you can tell from the name. The reason it's so big is because there is actually a Bath Bomb within the Bath Bomb - if you crack this product in half it reveals a little Bath Bomb egg so although you are paying a little extra than usual you can use this as three separate bombs which I intend on doing.

The scent to me gives off a honey/caramel scent with hints of citrus. Which sound like an odd combination but actually works really well together. The Lush website advises that two of the main ingredients are 'Sicilian Lemon Oil' and 'Bergamont Oil' which are both 'Uplifting and Cleansing'.

Intergalactic - Bath Bomb

This is another product which I always pick up when I'm in store and has become one of my favourites. Purely because it's absolutely stunning in the water, it turns the water the deepest blue and leaves glitter floating in the water. When you first drop this Bath Bomb into the water it's honestly like something from Outer Space, I have pictures on my Instagram for those interested.

It has a very refreshing peppermint scent to it and the main ingredients are 'Peppermint Oil' which is 'Cooling and Invigorating', 'Grapefruit Oil' which is 'Uplifting and Refreshing' and 'Cedarwood Oil' which is 'Toning and Balancing'.

Karma - Bubble Bar

I've seen this product in store quite a few times now and never bothered picking it up, to be honest it's the scent that I'm not that much of a fan of but this time I thought I'd give it a try.

It smells a lot like the Holly Golightly Bubble Bar from the Christmas Range which I didn't rave over but for those who like warm and super relaxing scents I would suggest giving this one a smell in store. The one thing I do really enjoy about this Bubble Bar is the colour it turns your water, it goes an amazingly deep purple with gold glitter throughout. But it's not overly glittery, you can touch this product without having glitter on you for 10 years!

Ladybird - Bubble Bar

This little lady is from the Mother's Day collection and smells SO good. It has a really fresh minty scent which isn't something I'd usually say would be in the Mother's Day collection but it makes a nice change from the traditional super sweet scents.

Why wouldn't you want to buy this product? Just look how cute it is. I don't want to ever use it... This product along side Intergalactic Bath Bomb would work so well.

Lover Lamp - Bath Bomb

This product is from the Valentine's Day collection which I know is over a month ago so you're probably thinking why are you even blogging about this now..... And I know I'm SO bad with doing these posts in time with the collections but I really am going to try and be more of top of blogging, but I just thought I'd add them anyway. You never know the Kitchen might release these soon or you could probably find them on eBay.

These Bath Bombs are really lovely simplistic products but what I love is that the little red hearts in them are little Bath Melts which once all the bomb has fizzed away stay floating and melting in your water to leave your skin nice and soft. The scent of this product isn't too overwhelming but does have a hint of chocolate which I love!

Mmmelting Marshmallow Moment - Bath Oil

Oh My LORDDD. If you buy anything from this haul it HAS to be one of these. I cannot even put into words how good these smell and I can't believe that I have only recently just discovered these. They smell exactly like the Bubblegum Lip Scrub with a hint of Snow Fairy - it's the sweetest scent and I am totally obsessed with it.

Same as the Floating Island Bath Oil you just need to pop the whole thing in your bath and let it melt away. The main ingredients include 'Marshmallow Powder' which 'Soothes and Softens', 'Extra Virgin Coconut Oil' which is 'Softening and Moisturising' and 'Almond Oil' which provides hydration for the skin and hair. Just from the ingredients I think you can see the benefit's of this product, so again if you suffer from dry skin or Eczema this product would be brilliant for you.

Unicorn Horn - Bubble Bar

The Unicorn Horn Bubble Bar is another product from the Valentine's Day Collection and is a product that I can't wait to come out each year! I only bought one last year and totally regretted the decision when I used it up so quickly so this year I purchased 4 for myself.

Firstly it just looks incredible, I mean it's called a Unicorn Horn and is literally a rainbow horn, who wouldn't want to own this product? If there was one product I wish that Lush would make permanent it's this one. It has a strong lavender scent therefore is perfect for just before bed as it really helps you unwind. Just run it under the water or pop it in your tea strainer however you like to use them and it will create you some amazing bubbles to relax in.

Flowering Tea - Reusable Bubble Bar

These cute tea bag Bubble Bars were a part of the Mother's Day collection this year. I'm not actually a huge fan of this scent but I just wanted to pick them up as they were limited edition and I love the idea of how they look like an actual tea bag, so handy just to hold the string and run it under the tap.

This product has an extremely strong floral scent which personally I find a little overpowering, I have yet to use this product yet so my opinion could totally change but as soon as I use it I'll be sure to do a review on my IG. From looking at other people's reviews and videos I love how there is actual petals inside the Bubble Bar. It does make an extra pretty bath.

Rose Bombshell - Bath Bomb

This Bath Bomb is from the Mother's Day collection also and is one that I am very much a fan of. I'm sure you can tell by the name of the product what the scent is, some of the ingredients within this product are Rose Oil, Rose Absolute and Rose Petals.

Once the Bath Bomb has completed fizzed away it leaves you with little yellow rose petals floating in bath which is a nice finishing touch after a lovely unwinding bath.

Which Came First?- Bath Bomb

Just like the Humpty Dumpty Bath Bomb this is one of the larger Bath Bombs which came out in the Easter collection which once cracked open has a little Bath Bomb inside so you can get three baths out of this. But not just any little Bath Bomb it's a little chick!

As I mentioned in the above post about Humpty Dumpty although they are a little more pricey I think they're so worth the money and they're also so fun for Easter, these would be great to give as gifts if you didn't want to give actual chocolate Easter eggs. The three main ingredients in this product are 'Grapefruit Oil' which is 'Uplifting and Refreshing', 'Fair Trade Vanilla Absolute' which is a 'Sweet and Comforting Scent' and 'Lemon Oil' which is 'Uplifting and Refreshing'.

Ultraviolet - Bubble Bar

First off for the price of this Bubble Bar I think it's huge. It seems a lot bigger than any other Bubble Bar I've gotten before and they all seemed to be that size. This Bubble Bar is from the Mother's Day collection therefore is limited edition but is still available online.

The scent is of this Bubble Bar is very unique compared to most Lush products I have smelt before but I love it. I've seen online that some people have got 18-23 baths out of this product which to be honest doesn't surprise me because it's so big and from what I've seen depending on which part of the bar you use leaves your water amazing colours with even better bubbles. This scent is really difficult for me to describe but Lush advises it has 'Violet' and 'Jasmine Absolute'.

I know this is a SUPER long blog post to say it's my first one in months but I hope you enjoyed it, please keep an eye out on my Instagram @amberjainee where I post videos and pictures and mini reviews each time I use a Lush product.
