Sassy Shop Wax and Co Review

Hiya Guys!

I recently received a package from a lovely lady who runs an online store called Sassy Shop Wax and Co who specialise in Wax, Bath Treats and Aromatherapy. SSW use minerals to colour their products and they are completely vegan and cruelty free. They also use Lush dupe scents which is a big win in my books.

If you follow me on Instagram or know me personally you'll know how much I love bath products and wax melts so I was super excited to receive this package and I wasn't disappointed when I opened it.

Rose and Shea Bath Potion

The first thing that caught my attention was the Rose and Shea Bath Potion, as I am a big bath lover anything bath related catches my attention first. The way I would describe this is like Bath Bomb dust! I sprinkled a good amount of this into my bath before using my Lush Bubble Bars. Admittedly it isn't the most exciting product but it smells lovely and leaves a shimmer to the water, I also noticed that it left my skin feeling really smooth. A video demo will be live on my Instagram tomorrow along with the rest of my bath preparation.

Animal Wax

The first thing I tried out from my package was the pink little bear Animal Wax. The little pink bear is Rose and Jam scented and the little hippo is Earl Grey and Cucumber scented.

I honestly couldn't believe how strong the scent was, it was lit in the bedroom and we could smell it downstairs in the kitchen, I was really surprised as it was stronger than some higher brand wax melts that I have. I've noticed with other brands once they have been lit 2 or 3 times the scent just seems to disappear but the scent just doesn't seem to be getting any weaker or going at all, which is amazing. I have had so many compliments on the scent whilst people have been in the house, these are something I would 100% recommend getting. It also leaves the most beautiful shimmer when it has melted.

Hawaiian Milk Solid Shampoo Bar

I never really understood Solid Shampoo Bars until a year or two back when I bought one from Lush to use on holiday and I'm so glad I was sent this one. Solid Shampoo Bars work so well for travelling, if you don't want to be carrying bottles of shampoo just pack one of these and they work equally as well.

I love the idea behind no packaging, just use it as it is and there isn't any waste. Now the first thing I need to point out with this product is the scent - if you're a lover of Marzipan you NEED to buy this ASAP. Made with Coconut and Almonds it smells good enough to eat, such a strong scent that it leaves your hair smelling incredible. And if you're thinking the same as I did at first - 'Will it lather up?' 'Will it work as good as regular shampoo?' The answer is YES!

Marshmallow Solid Make Up Brush Cleanser

Solid Brush Cleanser isn't something I have used before, although I have seen them I always stick to Baby Shampoo to clean by brushes so when I received this I was really excited to try it out! They sell them in lots of different scents such as Blueberry Cheesecake and Caramel Cookie and they all sound amazing, the one I was sent is Marshmallow which I can confirm does smell amazing.

I first tried this with running my brush under cold water and swishing in around then using the BrushEgg to clean the dirt off, I didn't really see much of a result. But when I used hot water I could see the dirt and product coming off almost instantly. They're a really good alternative to using generic cleaners, the one thing I would state if you do purchase one is to make sure you use hot water to clean your brushes. I will be doing a video demonstration of this brush cleanser within the next couple of days which will be on my Instagram.

Earl Grey and Cucumber Chopping Wax

Mermaids and glitter? You've already sold it to me! This is Earl Grey and Cucumber Chopping Wax - I will be putting a chopping video on my IG soon using this product. This is the wax that I currently have burning and it is such a fresh scent. Like the other wax melt the smell is so strong, not in an overpowering way but it fills the room and lasts even when it's not burning.

This is quite a large melt which is why it's called a Chopping Wax, so you can get multiple new waxes out of it.

Luxe Bath Melt

This one tiny little product is the strongest most amazing smelling thing EVER. It's a natural and organic cocoa and lavender Bath Melt but it's 100000% more on the cocoa scent, it honestly smells like rich hot chocolate and they're only 50p each. I will be buying a lot more of these for sure.

Just by feeling it in your fingers you can already tell how amazing it'll feel in the bath water, it's soo creamy and smooth feeling. This is one of my most definite recommendations, they're honestly amazing.

Green Tea Soap

The Green Tea Soap is made with pure virgin olive oil and green tea extracts which are rich in anti-oxidants. It has a really fresh uplifting scent, perfect for a tired face on an early morning. Sassy Shop Wax advise that the soap has some anti bacterial properties and is said to soothe skin irritations and help in prevention of acne. The green tea leaves within the soap help exfoliate and cleanse the skin and the olive oil extracts leave it feeling fresh and moisturised.

Essential Oil EcoSoy Wax

These gorgeous little things are wax melts which as you can guess from the rest of the products smell lovely. I am yet to burn them but when I do they'll be a post on Instagram. The blue melts are made with lavender and geranium pure essential oil and the white melts are a sensual essential oil blend containing aphrodisiac and sensual properties. The blend includes the following essential oils - Ylang Ylang, Sandalwood, Patchouli, Rose and Orange Essential. They're such a unique product.

If you guys are interesting in anything from Sassy Shop Wax and Co you can click HERE to go to their website and you can check our their Instagram by clicking HERE. If you use code AMBER20 you will also get 20% off! They also do Mystery Boxes which are really good idea for those who are wanting to try some of the products out without committing to a full order, but I can guarantee once you try them out you'll more than likely place another order. I know I will be.

If you guys buy anything be sure to let me know what you think! As always I hope you enjoyed the read.

All Time Low Young Renegades Tour Gig Review

Hiya Guys!

Last Thursday me and my other half Alex went to see All Time Low on their Young Renegades Tour in Manchester, they played the O2 Apollo. Which was a nice change as the last two times I have seen them it has been at Manchester Arena, small venues are always better as it's a much more intimate gig.

The setlist was amazing, there were a couple songs that I would have switched around but I can't complain as I loved it. Kicking the gig off with Kicking and Screaming (see what I did there?) then playing some of my absolute favourites including Six Feet Under The Stars and A Love Like War. Then Alex took to the stage on his own to play Therapy, which is always a special part to the show. Dirty Laundry which is a new song from their new record Last Young Renegade was played and to say it's a new song the crowd engaged so well.

I've posted a few videos over on my Instagram so if you're interested in seeing them you can head over and have a look! After hearing two new songs from Last Young Renegade I'm really looking forward to hearing this new record. If I'm honest when I first heard Dirty Laundry I was a bit sceptical as it's very different to the usual ATL sound but I've grown to like it. Although after hearing the second song Last Young Renegade it has shown that the sound hasn't completely changed, I really REALLY like Last Young Renegade. You can pre-order the new record Last Young Renegade HERE.

Once the gig had finished we went back to our hotel room and got into bed to re-watch all my videos that I had taken that night. Whilst scrolling through Twitter I saw that Alex had tweeted about an after party at Rebellion - bare in mind by this time it was midnight, so after uming and ahing for about 15 minutes we decided to get up and go. Let's face it, if we didn't go we would have regretted it and I am so glad we did. When we got to the club Alex and Jack were doing a DJ set, the club is known for it's alternative live music, I'm really glad we found out about this place as we'll certainly be returning. They were playing everything from Green Day to Paramore and every Pop Punk band in-between. After getting out of bed, re-sticking my eyelashes on and going back out in the cold I am SO glad we did because I MET JACK FRIGGING BARAKAT oh and they gave us an early playing of Last Young Renegade which hadn't be released then.

If you're a fan of ATL then I would suggest listening to their new music and pre-ordering the record! All in all we had an incredible night filled with incredible music - their gigs never fail to impress me.

Green Day Revolution Radio Tour Gig Review

Hiya Guys!

I know this is a little different to my usual type of blog post but I couldn't not write something about the Green Day gigs I attended in Leeds and Manchester so let's get going...
At the beginning of the month Green Day started their UK leg of the Revolution Radio tour, which was only three dates that started in Leeds at the First Direct Arena, then went to Manchester Arena and ended at the O2 in London.

We luckily managed to get tickets to both the Leeds and Manchester shows. The first show we attended was Leeds on the 5th February at the First Direct Arena, as I knew we were going to two shows I decided I didn't want to use my phone at all and just be in the moment. I had waited 10 years to see Green Day live and it was most probably the most incredible moment in my life. The moment Billie Joe walked out on stage the tears started, I'm never one to cry at gigs but my body was just overcome by emotions - I never thought the day would come were I was at a Green Day gig.

The set list was amazing - full of old classics and also some of their new material which is ridiculously impressive but it is Green Day after all, I could never have expected less. They kicked the gig off with Know Your Enemy and within that first song they had a fan on stage from the audience. The way they got the audience involved was just brilliant - from making them stage dive to BJA giving a young fan one of his guitars. It was just such an amazing atmosphere to be involved in.

Speaking of the new album Revolution Radio some of my favourite tracks from this record are Still Breathing, Ordinary World and Young Blood. I would highly recommend any GD fans who are a bit sceptical about Rev Rad to give it a listen. Whilst we're on the topic of new music the support act for the Rev Rad Tour were a band called The Interrupters, if you're a fan of Ska/Punk I'd recommend checking this band out!

I wasn't expecting the gigs to go on for as long as they did but the sets were 2 and a half hours long which was music to my ears (literally!) I couldn't imagine anything better than watching my favourite band live for over 2 hours. Especially due to the fact they played Jesus of Suburbia which is my all time favourite song and has been since I was in Primary School.

GD have just announced that they'll be back in the UK at Sheffield Arena on July 3rd which is just 2 days after they play British Summer Time Festival in Hyde Park London on the 1st. If you can grab tickets to either of these shows I would 10000% recommend it, getting tickets to these gigs was one of the best things I have ever done.

Lush Valentine's Day Haul and Review

Hiya Guys!

With Valentine's Day just around the corner I thought a Lush Valentine's Day Haul and Review would be an ideal blog post to kick off 2017. Hopefully it will be helpful to those who are looking to treat their other halves or themselves this Valentine's Day. There are demo's and pictures in action of most of these products over on my Instagram so I would suggest following me to ensure you can check these out.

Like all special occasions such as Christmas, Easter and Halloween etc - Lush have released their Valentine's Day collection this year ready for February 14th. Some of the products which were in the 2016 collection have made a re-appearance and there are some lovely new products which have also been added.

Unicorn Horn - Bubble Bar

Let's kick things off with one of my favourite V Day products (which I bought way too many of last year) and that is Unicorn Horn Bubble Bar. Apart from being one of the prettiest Bubble Bar's EVER it smells unreal. If you are a fan of lavender and lavender scented products then this is for you. One of the main ingredients is Lavender Oil along with Ylang Ylang and Neroli Oil's which make this product perfect for those needed relaxing baths.

A little explanation for those who aren't sure how Bubble Bar's work, either snap off a chunk and crumble this under running water or add it to a tea strainer or sieve and run under the tap. I have found the tea strainer/sieve way works the best for me as it creates the fluffiest and most bubbles in the bath, I have a few videos on my Instagram if you would like to see how I do this.

Rose Bombshell - Bath Bomb

Rose Bombshell is another product which I tried last year when the Valentine's Day collection came out and I am sure you can tell from the name what the scent may be. This is the reason why I only picked up one of these Bath Bomb's - I aren't the biggest fan of all things floral and rose scented but that isn't to say this isn't a lovely Bath Bomb. It would make a lovely gift to a Partner or Mother as real rose petals make a lovely appearance once the Bath Bomb has fizzed away. If you do some creeping and scroll back to 2016 on my IG you will find demo's and pictures of this bath bomb.

Prince Charming Shower Cream & The Kiss Lip Scrub

For the lovers of all things sweet you need to smell Prince Charming Shower Cream. The main ingredients of this Shower Cream are Marshmallow Root and Vanilla Pod so you can imagine how dreamy the scent is. And the fact that it's a Shower Cream rather than a Shower Gel leaves your skin feeling silky smooth. This is a product well raved about in the Lush community. I only picked up a 100g bottle as I couldn't justify much more since I have 1600g of Snow Fairy!

The Kiss. I have recently become obsessed with Lip Scrubs, I would only ever use Bubblegum Lip Scrub but since Christmas I decided to venture out and try new flavours and scents and The Kiss is probably one of my favourites. I'm a big fan of the sweet scents and flavours and this just hits the nail on the head, it has become part of my daily routine to use a Lush Lip Scrub especially in this cold weather as it gives your lips the care they need.

Cupid Bath Bomb

This is probably my favourite product from this years Valentine's Day collection. I am SOOO in love, I picked up four earlier on this month and will most likely end up getting a few more whilst I can. The blend of Fresh Raspberry Juice and Persian Lime Oil really gives this product one of the loveliest scents. It's quite a slow fizzer in the tub, once placed in the water the arrow part of the Bath Bomb fizzes away leaving a lovely streak of deep pink foam in the water whilst the main body stayed in my water for about 15 minutes! I used this last night paired with Unicorn Horn and The Comforter Bubble Bars and Prince Charming Shower Cream and it made the best combo ever! A demo of Cupid is live on my IG.

Kiss Me Quick - Business Wash Cards

I can't review these as much as I haven't actually used them as of yet but I can tell you what I think of the product so far and what I have also heard of the product. I think the Business Wash Cards are a seriously clever idea and something I've never even seen or thought of before. It is basically a Business Card size soap, which is made from Fresh Apple Pulp! This is a great idea to carry in your purse/wallet for those times when there aren't any hand washing facilities - all you do is tear a piece off and run it under the water where it will start to lather and create a soap. Or it can be used whole in the shower or as a general hand wash. I love this idea and decided to pick a couple up for myself to try out.

Lover Lamp Bath Bomb

Lover Lamp is one of the more subtle Bath Bomb's that Lush do but nevertheless it is still an amazing product. This one is especially great for those who tend to have more dry skin and are looking for a super moisturising bath that will keep their skin feeling hydrated. This is due to the fact the Bath Bomb releases three love heart shaped Bath Melt's whilst it is fizzing away, these are made from Fair Trade Organic Cocoa Butter which you can probably tell is the reason your skin is left feeling amazing. Oh and it also smells like chocolate orange - that may be a reason to buy this!

Ladybird Bubble Bar

I love these little guys! I picked one up last year and soon realised how much of an essential they are to any Lush lovers collection. Pairing this with Intergalactic Bath Bomb makes for the freshest, minty-est (is that a word?) and refreshing bath you can imagine. It also leaves the bath water looking like a galaxy! It's more than likely I will be popping back into store to grab some more of these as two certainly won't be enough. I would highly recommend getting these if you love Intergalactic.

Over and Over Bath Bomb

And last but certainly not least is Over and Over Bath Bomb, but this isn't any regular Bath Bomb the orange part of this product is actually a Bath Melt - it has been dipped and coated in Fair Trade Organic Cocoa Butter which again leaves for incredible feeling skin. I love this concept as it's two in one! This Bath Bomb has a very vibrant and fruity scent which is due to the Lime Oil in this product, it's a real uplifting and cleansing ingredient which leaves you feeling super refreshed.

Well that's it for now! I am going to be doing AT LEAST one blog post per month for 2017 so if you have any suggestions as to what you would like to see please let me know. I hope you enjoyed the read and it was useful for those who are looking into this collection from Lush.
